Telephone counselling

Telephone counselling takes place by speaking with your counsellor over the telephone rather than face-to-face. You will need to be in a private and confidential space where you will not be disturbed. I will phone you at our agreed day and time each week.

In my experience of working with clients over the telephone, a deep connection to the therapeutic relationship and work happens very quickly, I believe this is due to the client feeling a greater sense of confidentiality and anonymity which can be reassuring especially if they feel nervous, embarrassed or fearful about talking through their problems.

One of the benefits of this type of therapy is for clients who are suffering from physical illnesses or disabilities, they can access telephone counselling from the comfort of their own homes, this can provide a positive and supportive service .
